Photo of the week (16)
One of the most famous and typical Dutch things are flowers. Holland is known for his beautiful flowers and especially tulips. That is no suprise if you know that Hollands produces more than 4 billion tulips each year! But besides the export, tulips are also very popular under tourists. Each year around the easter period, a milion tourists visit Holland for his beautiful flowers. Events like the bloemencorso and the Limmen flowerdays pulls tourists from all over the world!
One of the most characteristic things of all the highlights in the Netherlands are the tulipfields. These wide fields are full of colourfull flowers, and we have the luck that we live just around the corner! During the easter weekend we decided to grab our camera to make some cool shots in these fields. The results were amazing, and because tulips are part of our own culture, we picked this one as our very first picture of the week!
Do you also want to visit these beautiful tulip fields? Then you really should visit these places:
- Limmen, the place where we took this photo!
- Noordwijk and Sassenheim
- Enkhuizen and Andijk
